There was no need for anyone to be safe. The rioters from all sides insisted on entering the house and looted all the belongings. They did not even leave their clothes. The news of the martyrdom spread that this incident took place on Friday, 18th of Dhul-Hijjah, 3 AH. The body of Hazrat Usman Ghani (RA) was lying for three days. Zubair Hassan Abu Jahim and Marwan were with the funeral procession between Isha and Maghrib at night. They offered prayers and the rioters tried to obstruct the burial but Hazrat Ali (RA) knew. So he strictly forbade them and went to Hazrat Jubayr ibn Mutam (may Allah be pleased with him) to Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). He allowed him to be buried. The baghar was buried in the same clothes that were worn by Hazrat Usman Ghani. At the time of Hadat, the following were the aamers in Islamic countries.
