Hazrat Abu Hurayrah had a strong memory because Hazrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said to me, "As your companions ask me for booty, you do not ask." I ask the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to teach me some of the knowledge that Allaah has bestowed on him. I put it in the middle and I remember this scene so much that I can still see the lizard moving on it. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) recited the hadeeth. When I heard the whole hadeeth, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Tie it to your body. This is what I did, After that, whatever the Holy Prophet (saws) said, The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to recite hadeeths I never forgot.
