Life Cycle of a Frog|Reproduction of frog.
The life cycle of a frog, Reproduction of frog is the process by which living things produce new living things. If living things do not have the ability to reproduce, there be no living things on Earth.
Most animal reproduction requires a
male and female of the same species.
The male fertilizes an egg that is
produced by the female.
Fertilize means to bring life to
something.
With some animals, the female lays an egg
outside her body and the male then fertilizes it.
The egg
then hatches when the baby animal is ready to enter the world.
Frogs and Fish are examples of animals that
reproduce this way.
In other animals, the egg is fertilized inside the female’s body. The baby animal
comes out of the female when it is ready to enter the world. The animal that
reproduces in this way is called Mammals.
Some animals reproduce by themselves.
For Example:
A sea anemone divides to form two new
individuals.
This is known as sexual reproduction.
The five stages of the life cycle of a frog are following:
Egg:
The female frog lays the egg in
water.
Tadpole:
The egg hatch into tadpole.
Tadpole with legs:
IN this stage the tadpole grows legs, first at the back and later at
the front, has a longer body, has a tail, and a more distinct head. It breathes
with gills because it lives in water.
Froglet:
In this
stage, the froglet breathes with its lungs and still has some of its tail.
Adult:
The adult frog breathes with the lungs and has no TAIL.
As you can see above a frog changes its appearance and body structure during the different stages of its life cycle begins as an egg and ending up as an adult frog. this process is called metamorphosis.
