What equipment do you need for the Slim in 6 diets | Slim In 6 | How effective is slim in 6?| Is Slim in 6 good for beginners?
My friend Jessica told me she was on a diet called Slim In 6, I myself have never heard of it, so like always, I did a little research on it.
Slim in 6 is a diet from Beach-Body, it's intended to be a 6-week diet exercise program. This company has spent millions on advertising, that’s why I find it weird that I never heard of it before. This program is made mostly for people who are around the age of 50 and under, due to acute exercise. The person who made Slim in 6 possible is called Debbie Seibers. She has been in the health industry for many years.
The price of Slim in 6 is around $60, but you can find it cheaper online, especially on eBay. When you buy this product it includes 5 DVDs, a nutrition guide, a good-looking printed journal, and a 6-day diet plan.
Slim in 6 is no easy exercise video, you have to work out very hard, many people don’t get through the whole workout video, but as time passes you will build endurance and as a result, you are going to be able to finish the whole workout. You burn calories like crazy with this exercise program.
As a said before this is a very intense workout video, but trust me, this will pay off in the end when you have a great body. My friend Jessica said she saw results in her body in less than 3 weeks.
Slim in 6 recommends you do their exercise program 5 times a week. If you are the type of person who doesn’t like the gym or doesn’t have lots of motivation to do exercise-then this video may help a lot. The price of Slim in 6 is not cheap, but it's not overpriced either if you compare it to similar programs. for more articles

The Sonoma Diet
To tell you the truth, I think one of the best diet programs is the Sonoma Diet. This diet does not be made up of dramatic restrictions of food groups and the best part is that you don’t have to add up calories. This is a Mediterranean diet.
The writer of the Sonoma book is called Connie Guttersen.
Site Map So why did she call this book the Sonoma Diet? She called it Sonoma because Connie is from California, and Sonoma is a region there, which is known for its quality vineyards.
I really respect Connie Gutterson, she is a Registered Dietitian with years of experience. After you read the Sonoma Diet book, you are going to realize all the knowledge that this dietitian has. This is what Connie said when asked what made her diet different, “Consumers are tired of counting calories, and severe food restrictions. The central premise of the Sonoma Diet is that food is to be enjoyed.” So her response to why her diet is different is that you actually enjoy the food with the Sonoma program.
The Sonoma diet has a concept called Plate and Bowl. Plate and Bowl are when each meal is assigned a specific plate size, with details on how the plate should be filled. This sounds simple, but I think it's a great and effective idea that works. This diet even has an excellent wine guide to help you select the best possible wines to accompany your meal.
The Sonoma Diet has what Connie calls 3 waves. The first wave lasts 10 days and targets to cut down on food cravings. The second wave is when the real weight loss begins and the third wave is keeping your new body fit.
Overall I give the Sonoma Diet a 5 star. It's one of the best diets around. Right now the Sonoma Diet has more than 800 recipes for your weight loss goal

Looks Like Hoodia Really Works
In these recent months, the famous supplement Hoodia has been very popular, I myself was wondering why it was getting so much attention. But it seems this supplement is not overrated after all. A doctor from Pennsylvania said if you take the real Hoodia, then you are in good steps. The doctor found some great results from this little herbal supplement.
A woman called Racheal Hassan said she lost 13 pounds in only 4 weeks, taking Hoodia. She was very desperate to lose several pounds and she decided to take this supplement, and to her surprise, it worked better than she thought.
Hoodia is a cactus plant that comes from South Africa, researchers found that those who sucked on the plant felt less thirsty and overall less hungry.
Dr. Richard is a clinical researcher at Bucks County and he really did not believe this plant had weight-loss potential, be he was wrong. He stated, “When I first heard about it I become within the overall notion that it'd no longer paintings and I changed into totally surprised whilst we did that study to discover that it did work. ”
They did a study on 10 people and told them to use Hoodia before meals. They also mentioned to them to not make any lifestyle changes. The result? In 28 days they had lost 10 pounds and 4 percent of their body fat.
I don’t know about you sir, but this is some exciting news for you. I’m going to try this stuff out in some weeks to see how it goes. I need to lose at least 5 pounds, I will update you on my results.
Low Carb Diet
Almost every single person will initially lose a few pounds when they begin a low-carb diet. Unfortunately, that weight won’t be permanent unless you restrict your carbs like crazy for the rest of your life.
Depending on who you ask, there are many pros and cons involved with a low-carb diet. The most common con about this sort of diet is that the weight loss is only temporary, the second you begin to eat normally again, your weight will quickly rise. Sometimes to even higher weight than before you began your diet.
Some low-carb diets require you to restrict essential healthy carbs including healthy ones like whole wheat grains and certain fruits.
Most people lose weight quickly when they begin a low-carb diet, a pro that everyone can be happy about.
Low carb diets don’t limit the types of protein you are allowed to eat. Many low-carb diets allow you to eat as much high saturated fat foods such as bacon. This may be a way to lose weight but it defiantly is not healthy.
If you want to try a low-carb diet, talk to your doctor and research to find one that doesn’t limit your carb intake too severely. Find a lowered-carb diet that emphasizes healthy carbs and lean sources of protein. This is a method highly recommended by many health professionals.
This sort of diet plan is great because you don’t have the need to endlessly count calories. You must watch out for carbs, and count them in form of grams.
Most who on involved in a low carb diet don’t feel as hungry as those on sugar or fat-restricted diet. On a low-carb diet, there is a wide range of foods you can consume without paying attention to high-fat content.
Be sure not to completely restrict carbs as this causes the opposite effect that most on a diet are looking for. When your body realizes there aren’t enough carbs to perform essential body functions it slows down your metabolism. There is not a thing you can do about this natural reaction as it is caused by years of evolution. Your body is simply trying to conserve its energy in a time of famine.
Low carb dieting is proven to lead to dramatic weight loss. Anyone attempting to use such a program should do so wisely and under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
Weight Loss Pills
With American obesity on the rise, there is an ever-growing need for new weight loss aids to help with this epidemic. More now than ever we are looking to prescription weight loss medications and over-the-counter diet pills as a quick fix to make us healthier.
People generally aren’t aware of diet pill side effects. They assume that since it is on the shelf, it must be safe and effective. Some just don’t want to spend the time researching weight loss pills for the most efficient ones.
Diet pills are like any other drugs and have some degree of health risks involved. Some ingredients in diet pills, such as Ephedra, have been linked to raised heart rates, raised blood pressure, and heart failure. You shouldn’t start taking a diet medication until you have consulted with your doctor.
The more popular prescription diet pills are Phentermine, Meridia, Acomplia, and Phendimetrazine products. Almost all prescription diet pills fall into three categories including noradrenergic agents, serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors, and lipase inhibitors.
The safest form of prescription medication is found in the noradrenergic category. The medication increases the level of norepinephrine in the brain which helps control your appetite. Common weight loss from this product is from five to fifteen pounds over a six-month period.
The only drug in the Serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors category is Sibutramine. Sibutramine increases the amount of serotonin and norepinephrine in your brain that signals to your brain that you are full. When using sibutramine studies have shown that those who lose four or more pounds in the first month are more likely to lose ten percent of their body weight after one year.
The only medication in the lipase inhibitor category is Xenical. This product works by effectively blocking the action of lipase, an enzyme released by the pancreas to aid in the body’s digestion of fat.
If you decide to purchase diet pills without the help of your doctor, you should be aware that non-prescription diet pills are associated with endless types of health problems, even years after the product was initially used. The main issue is that many diet pills aren’t subjected to stringent testing by federal authorities. If you find a product that contains ephedra run the other way, this product has been directly linked to heart attack, stroke, and death. It is now banned by the U.S. government.
Your best bet for long-term weight loss is to consult your doctor for professional tips that can save your life. You may experience short-term, unhealthy weight loss but if you haven’t changed your eating patterns, once you stop taking the pills your weight will come back.
Cardiovascular Fitness
You may be one of the many people who want to start an effective cardiovascular fitness program but aren’t too excited about the extremely high cost of personal trainers, club memberships, and exercise equipment. There is always the option of purchasing a plain pair of tennis shoes and hitting the road, but this idea is hard for most to look forward to.
If you are one of the lucky ones and cost is not an issue, the question becomes how much and how hard do you have to work to see positive results. There isn’t anything more annoying than continuing an expensive fitness program and not knowing if you will ever see results.
The most common plan for effective cardio fitness and weight loss will range anywhere from nothing to a couple hundred dollars. This plan includes a manual treadmill, which you can substitute for running in place, or even jumping rope if you want. The equipment is not important. You are exercising your body after all.
The key to success in cardiovascular training is the ability to accurately monitor your heart rate. Monitoring your heart rate before and during exercise will tell you exactly how hard you need to train to receive a beneficial training effect. Almost any activity that works the legs continuously for twenty minutes or longer will produce some weight loss effects.
There isn’t a need to guess when you can know for sure what heart rate, within a few beats per minute, you are required to maintain during exercise. The specific heart rate is called your Training Heart Rate (THR). Your THR is based on your current age and physical condition.
The formula you need to determine your THR in beats-per-minute is pretty simple and fast. First, subtract your current age from 220. This answer is referred to as your maximum heart rate (MHR). If you consider yourself to be in the great physical condition your training rate is 90% of your MHR. If you are in fair physical condition your training rate is 80% of MHR. If you are in poor physical condition your training rate is set at 70% of your MHR.
If you find that you are having discomfort exercising at 60% of your MHR then immediately stop what you are doing. You should consider getting a complete medically supervised physical examination. Besides exercising at less than 60% of your MHR would have almost no cardiovascular training effect so why take the risk.
The Zone Diet
I recently came across a diet called “The Zone Diet,” so I decided to do a little research and write about it. The Zone Diet was created by a guy called Barry Sears, a researcher in biotechnology at the Massachusetts Institute.
What Is The Zone?
The zone is a physiological state in which the hormones governed by the food you consume are maintained within the zones that are not too high, or too low. The great thing about controlling insulin are decreased risk of cardiovascular disease, better mental performance, and fat loss, especially in your abdominal area.
Insulin control is achieved by balancing protein and carbohydrates at each meal. The insulin component of the Zone can be described as a moderate carbohydrate, protein, and fat dietary program. The maximum amount of protein at any meal should be no bigger than the size of your palm.
The majority of carbohydrates should come from fruits and vegetables, with starches such as pasta, bread, and rice. Finally, most of the fat should consist of good monounsaturated fat. Unlike high-carbohydrate or high protein diets that increase insulin levels, the insulin control component of the Zone dietary program is based on balance and moderation at each meal.
The purpose of the area food regimen is to hold a hormonal balance among fats-storing insulin and the hormone glucagon. Glucagon is the hormone responsible for releasing stored glucose from your liver when needed. Keeping a balance between these two hormones is archived by limiting the number of certain food groups. So, the Zone Diet is focused on your hormones to archive weight loss, and by the looks of it, this diet works great.
